O God, Healer of shattered hearts, look upon Your people Yisrael, for now is the hour of our need.
In Your infinite presence, today is but nothingness, a single drop amidst the sea of time.
Yet the radiance of Your firmament sparkles now in the sun’s rays as it did on the day of creation,
And lightning pierces the night sky as your pillar of fire once led our people out of the darkness of bondage.

O God, our people cry out to You now as we did in times of old, slain by sword, defiled by yet another to rise against us.
As on the rivers of Babylon, our hearts break for the love of Zion and your sukkah of peace,
And the tears of Your women and children fall upon the same ground on which once walked Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah.
Pleas for mercy arise before You as they did of old in York, Kishinev, Warsaw and Auschwitz.

O God, arise in Your might to save our people, for now is the hour of our need.
Outstretch Your arm and strengthen Your hand to save us from the dominion of arrogance upon Your earth.
And as in the sacred oneness of Your name, unify our hearts to be one people at this hour,
For as Your holy temple was not destroyed from without, but from within, we risk crumbling.
