Invitation to Submit Personal Essays to the Shoah Legacy Writers Website

Preserving Jewish history and identity has never been more important, or challenging, than in today’s turbulent world.

The Shoah Legacy Writers group is soliciting personal essays, biographical narratives and other recollections from children of Holocaust survivors (2nd Generation) to be published on our website. We wish to pay homage to our parents bravery and suffering by sharing unique family histories in a solemn setting that respects the past, while providing critical moral lessons for the future.

Our goal is to revive and honor the indestructible spirit of survivors from a wide array of perspectives: from concentration camp inmates to slave labor conscripts to those who perilously survived in ghettos or forests, or were saved by non-Jews during the Nazi reign.

Your writing will be posted on our ShoahLegacyWriters.org website, making it easily accessible across the U.S. and beyond. All submissions will be considered for our future Legacy Anthology book.
