The daughter of Polish Jewish Holocaust Survivors, Rosalien K. Merenstein was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Ensconced in a community of Survivors, her understanding of their unique perspectives on morality, faith, justice and tolerance grew, as did her appreciation of their personal stories and life lessons. Rosie served as a professional fundraiser and educational programmer for the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, a career that was formed by Rosie’s unabated commitment to safeguard Jewish communities. She believes it is important to share the impressions and interpretations of our parents, Survivors of the Shoah. It is time to pass the torch of memories.
